What we collect
Contact form. If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide, solely to respond to your inquiry or correction request.
Favorites. When you star a comparison, the list of saved comparisons is stored using your browser's local storage, on your device only. It is never transmitted to us and we have no way to see it. Clearing your browser data, or using the "clear my saved data" button on the site, removes it.
Basic technical data. Like most websites, our server may log standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting purposes. We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use information
Contact form submissions are used only to respond to you and, where relevant, to correct or improve our content. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except where required by law.
Cookies
We use a minimal session cookie required to keep our contact form secure (to prevent automated or forged submissions). See our cookie policy for details.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to address your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, after which they may be deleted.
Your choices
You can clear your locally stored favorites at any time using the "clear my saved data" control available on the library and comparator pages, or by clearing your browser's site data directly. To request access to or deletion of information you've submitted via our contact form, reach out through that same form.
Children's privacy
Yield Yardstick is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
